The producers of NBC's Last Comic Standing have again lived up to their reputation for misidentifying talent. Out of all the finalists who made it to Hollywood in tonight's show, I found only one act mildly amusing and that was Adam Hunter. The rest were forgettable. Especially Paul Foot and Ron G, in my opinion. They're acts were so uncomfortable I could barely watch. I really think Dale Jones and Erin Jackson got much more of a crowd reaction than Foot and G. Andi Smith was funny too, but none of the women were chosen to move on... Smith and Jackson were funnier than all the finalists, and I thought Jones was the funniest set of the evening. A complete letdown. I just did a quick check of NBC's LCS message boards, and as I figured, 90% of the posts are negative. Due to this lampoonable oversight, I have convinced myself that the show or any future seasons aren't worth watching anymore. Perhaps someday NBC will learn that a reality show should not be pre-determined outside the value of entertainment the show provides. |
